August 2010:
A short report back from an angler who was out there for a week in late August. Sounds like a good time was had:-
"We've just got back from a week at Pads Lake and I feel totally exhausted! I fished peg 2 and I had between 35 and 45 fish!! I had Commons between 18lb and 26lb and Mirrors between 20lb and 43lb. My best fish were a 43.10 Mirror, 43 Mirror, 34.12 Scaley Mirror, 34 Mirror, 31.8 Mirror and a few between 28lb and 30lb. What an awesome week, where I pretty much ran out of bait by the Thursday morning. My father fished peg 1 and also had a good week catching a few fish. His biggest was a 31lb Common and he also had a few nice Koi and other Commons to mid 20's. It was our first time at Pads Lake so we didn't expect the fishing to be as good as it was, which can only be described as WILD!!!"
May 2010:
Regular visitor Nick and his group have just returned from a full weeks angling on Pads Lake (15th May). On the session six of the anglers managed to catch new PB's!!!
Reported fish are as follows: Mirrors of 42lb, 38lb, 34lb, 37lb, 29lb & 26lb, plus loads of low 20's and some upper doubles. Commons to upper 20's (27lb) & upper doubles, a 30lb+ Grass Carp and Sturgeon were also caught. Swim 1 and swim 4 were the most consistant during the week. Photos on the gallery pages now!!
May 2010:
Warren's group have just arrived back from a visit to Pads Lake. An enjoyable week with over 60 fish reported caught by the six anglers. A 45lb Common, a 35lb Mirror and 11 x 20's to one angler!! Other reported fish to 43lb Mirror, plus some smaller Commons & Sturgeon. Photos on the Gallery Pages now.
May 2010:
A. Slater's group have just reported back from Pads Lake. A good week was had by all and captures included 1 x 40, 7 x 30's and over 20 x 20's. Pictures on the gallery soon.
April 2010:
7 anglers on a short trip to Pads Lake in very cold conditions. Captures reported of Grass carp to 22lb, Mirror Carp of 37lb & 31lb, Commons to 24lb and Sturgeon up to 29lb. A tough week in harsh conditions. Good angling chaps!!
JAN 2010: Check out the new Pads Lake 40's video clip. The Pads Lake team took a trip to the lake last September and had a result with some cracking fish.
SEPT 2009:
A small group from "The Pads Lake Team" have recently returned from a week long session at the venue and managed to catch some good fish, with 3 x 40's including a 45lb+ Common, several 30's, and loads of 20's and upper doubles. They also caught Grass Carp to 23lb+ and Catfish to 48lb. Pictures are now on the gallery and catch reports are detailed in our forum pages on www.carp-uk.net.
AUGUST 2009: Group of four anglers have recently returned from Pads and have reported catching the following good sized fish: A 46lb Common from swim 3. Two mirrors of 40lb & 35lb from swim 4 and a 30lb+ Common from swim 6 (under the willow, as usual!). They also reported catching loads of 20lb+ fish (mirrors & commons), with several good sized Grass carp. Pictures will be on the gallery pages as soon as I get them.
JULY 2009:A group of three anglers have recently returned from a full lake booking at Pads Lake. Fishing from pegs 3, 4 & 5, as well as having a great social, they also managed to land between 70-80 fish between them. Carp up to 39lb+ with loads of 20's amongst the catch and also landing Catfish to 47lb after an "arm aching fight from a stunning looking lake"!! Well done guys. Photos will be on the gallery soon.
APRIL 2009: Group of eight anglers fishing at the end of April had about 50 carp including 1 x 40, 9 x 30s and the rest 20s and upper doubles, plus a handful of grassies and small cats. Pictures added to gallery.
